SCENARIO: Last week someone called you frantically to say they needed some ADA signs to get their occupancy permit by “day after tomorrow.” Either you had something on the shelf that would make do or you called us and we rushed them to you. But, did your salesperson think about the other opportunities to help the customer?
- Did he need a “Grand Opening” banner?
- Did he need outside identification or parking lot signs?
- If she hadn’t already ordered occupancy signs, did that mean that she would still need a directory or office signs?
- This was one emergency? Did they think about real emergencies and special egress markings to get people to exits?
One thing is for sure. Most people never think of all the signs they need. If you don’t think of them for them, you’re leaving money on the table.
