Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Slatz® Sign System compatible with ADA guidelines?
Yes. ADA-compatible signage may be achieved by applying ADA-approved materials to Slatz faceplates.

What are the options for ceiling installation?
Typical Slatz ceiling installations involve a ceiling clip that attaches to most common drop-ceiling channels. Additional methods are also available; for more information, e-mail us or call 800-331-1891.

Can Slatz signage be framed?
Yes. Given the fact that Slatz faceplates snap in from the front and can be removed from the front with a Slatz key, Slatz signs can be framed and/or recessed.

Slatz faceplates and trimplates are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. Are additional styles also available?
Yes. Specialty faceplates and trimplates include the Slatz Slider for “in use/vacant” applications, custom-size panels, and engraving stock holders.

How many Slatz colors are available?
The standard Slatz color is anodized satin silver. Through the Slatz Colorfix™ program, Clarke also offers premium vinyl-clad extrusions in a multitude of industry colors.

Can Slatz products be used for exterior applications?
Although Slatz is primarily designed for interior applications, it has been successfully used in outdoor sign programs for decades.

For more information on the Slatz system, e-mail us today or call 800-331-1891.
